Lumen Residence
Mach Island, MI
6,070 square feet
Completed 2016
With end-of-the-road privacy, this residence blends the traditional elegance of a colonial style home with the best of lakefront living. This home was designed for two business executives who often host formal galas and dinners with local politicians, but who wanted their home to feel relatable and livable for their two daughters. With that directive in mind, this home was designed with a centralized entertaining gallery comprised of a billiards room, formal dining room, wet bar, and art hall to accommodate their events. This space also acts as the connecter from the main bedroom suite to the primary living spaces. The rest of the home feels more quaint with typical ceiling heights and soft, timeless finishes. For outdoor events, a centralized bluestone courtyard links the entire composition to the manicured lawn and picturesque lake beyond.
